Open to the general public and any current Municipal employee.

This is a non-represented position (no union affiliation) and is subject to the current provisions of the Personnel Rules of the Municipality of Anchorage.

DEPARTMENT: Information Technology
HOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday; 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
LOCATION: City Hall, 632 W 6th Ave, Fourth Floor, Anchorage, AK 99501

** Starting pay does not exceed the midpoint of the displayed pay range **

Example of Duties

Under the direction of the IT Business Manager, this position provides administrative clerical support and payroll coordination for the Office of Information Technology Department. This position is the department Cell Phone Coordinator, Personnel Coordinator, IT Coordinator, and assists the IT Procurement Analyst, IT Asset Management Assistant, and Sr. Staff Accountant. Additionally, this position acts as Records Coordinator and Safety Officer for OIT. Duties include but are not limited to: Answering phones and greeting visitors, reconciling and processing OIT employee timecards, processing personnel changes such as onboarding and offboarding, submitting requests through the IT ticketing system, processing cell phone requests, processing software purchase approvals, and processing Accounts Payable Perform other required duties as assigned.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, and four (4) years of experience in the field related to the position.

OR

Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Finance, or similar discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the field related to the position.

OR

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Finance, or similar discipline, and experience in the field related to the position.

Additional Requirements

Must possess a valid State of Alaska Driver's License with satisfactory driving record at time of hire.
