About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of Accounting to lead the modernization of its accounting systems and ERP. The successful candidate will be responsible for championing a leadership style that fosters a culture of openness, collaboration, and business partnership. This role involves building and mentoring a high-performing accounting team, leading the accounting workstream for ERP implementation, and ensuring seamless integration with the new system. The Head of Accounting will also be accountable for financial reporting, compliance, and tax oversight, and will serve as a strategic partner to operations, sales, and finance leadership. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with a CPA preferred, and at least 10 years' of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles. Experience in ERP implementations, particularly with systems like Oracle Fusion, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of US GAAP, internal control frameworks, and a background in fuel distribution, logistics, or asset-heavy industries. Key qualifications include exceptional communication and leadership skills, a proven track record of driving modernization, and the ability to translate complex accounting concepts into business-relevant language.
