The Manager, Projects is responsible for delivering quality facilities projects and solutions within the Crowley Fuels Reliability and Maintenance Team. Provides regulatory compliant project guidance and recommendations to a cross-functional regional leadership team aligned with Western Alaska. Oversees and implements the asset compliance programs for Crowley's fixed fuel storage assets.
Key responsibilities include:
Bachelors degree in business, project management, construction management, architecture, or civil or mechanical engineering; or equivalent combination of post-high school education and experience equal to ten (10) years in the fuels industry. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
3 5 years of related experience in supply chain management, construction management, fuel storage terminal operations, government service, and/or engineering projects with budgets exceeding $1 million. Experience leading and running construction projects in Western Alaska.
Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 products, including Teams, Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Other project and facility management software such as Smartsheet, Hexagon EAM, Primavera is preferred.
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Effectively manage multiple projects in various stages of completion that may vary in nature and scope. Assess project risks and exposures; identify options and alternatives, make decisions and implement corrective actions, and communicate those decisions to senior management/customers. Promote and build a team atmosphere, motivate team members in addition to function effectively as part of a team. Lead and influence within a cross-functional organization to deliver projects. Organize, manage, and lead at the project and program level, and influence at the portfolio level. Plan, execute, and control a project establishing realistic estimates and reporting metrics. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external stakeholders. Evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives. Prepare, monitor, and administer budgets, as well as perform financial analysis. Mentor, coach, train, and/or supervise project members. Knowledge of project management, planning, and cost control management. Knowledge of purchasing, procurement, budgeting, and administrative management. Knowledge of and ability to apply the concepts, principles, and practices of project designing, scheduling, estimating, planning, and inspecting. Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of engineering in regards to projects assigned. Knowledge of contract negotiation and administration as well as the ability to execute contracts in compliance with corporate guidelines and government regulations.
