Location: This position is full-time (40-hours/week) Monday-Friday, remote in the United States or onsite at 4101 Percival Road, Columbia, SC. Travel is required.
Develop and implement initiatives and programs to assist the organization in meeting long-term goals and objectives.
Evaluate organizational performance, strengths and weaknesses, and the competitive landscape to identify new growth opportunities.
Ensure business development plans are positioned and communicated appropriately.
Responsible for developing new account sales and ensuring sales objectives are met.
Manage existing partnerships and relationships with consultants and brokers to ensure continued value and mutual growth.
Research/compile presentations and sales materials as needed.
Coordinate client and agent input into renewal processes.
Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new opportunities and understand industry trends and the competitive landscape.
Collaborate with the sales team to align strategies and maximize lead conversion. Deliver presentations and proposals for groups.
Create and oversee effective marketing materials in all channels (print, trade show, web, and other media) to communicate the company's value to potential prospects and current customers.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree
Degree Equivalency: 4 years of direct self-funded employer sales/marketing experience
Required Experience:
10+ years in business development or sales in the healthcare insurance industry.
4 years in direct sales and marketing roles (may be concurrent).
Required Software and Skills: Microsoft Office
Required Licenses and Certificates: Department of Insurance licensure must be obtained within 60 days of hire in state employed.
Work Environment: Typical office environment. Travel is required to support company revenue objectives.
