Job Responsibilities

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Clinician provides tailored clinical interventions to customer-owners and prepares them for participation in learning circles. This role has two levels, with progression based on demonstrated ability to handle more responsible and independent assignments.

The Child and Family Outpatient Services (CFOS) offers supportive care to individuals, children, and families with behavioral health needs, focusing on resiliency development, parenting, and learning circles. The clinic primarily serves youth aged 3 to 21 years and their families.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in behavioral health field (Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work) OR PhD/PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
• Obtain Alaska Clinical Licensure within four years of hire.

Additional Qualifications for Clinician II

• Two years of supervised clinical work experience for Masters level; or two years post-graduate clinical experience for PhD/PsyD; or demonstrated proficiency as a Clinician I at SCF.
• Current Alaska Clinical Licensure.

Native Preference

SCF pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting, and training, in accordance with P.L. 93-638, as amended. Certification from SCF Human Resources is required for applicants to receive preference.
