North Star Behavioral Health Hospital is the premier behavioral health provider serving Alaska. We offer acute inpatient programming for children and teens at risk of harming themselves or others. These 30-day programs offer 24-hour nursing and evidence-based treatment methods designed to help young patients stabilize and move into less intensive care as quickly as possible.
The Acute Inpatient Program is about encouraging healthy and safe thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, as the youth traverses the trail or journey to wellness. The program provides inpatient acute care for children and teens between the ages of 4 – 18. We are the only program in the entire state of Alaska providing this service to children under the age of 13.
