Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a hands-on, energetic Operations Supervisor to lead our Assembly Department team in a dynamic, fast-paced food production environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about food safety, quality, and team development. Supervisor Responsibility

  • Supervise thirty plus union employees responsible for preparing, assembling, and packaging food items in accordance with quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • This position plays a key role in ensuring that meals are accurately prepared and presented for customers or further processing.
  • Supervise daily operations to ensure timely and accurate production and flight catering.
  • Organize, schedule, and oversee shift staff to meet labor productivity targets and minimize overtime.
  • Conduct daily team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and safety reminders.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all regulatory and food safety standards, including FDA, USDA, OSHA, HACCP, and GMP.
  • Monitor safety performance and proactively address issues to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Identify, document, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.

Leadership & People Development

  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of hourly employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Promote and uphold company values, policies, and management principles.
  • Track team performance and take corrective action when needed to meet production and safety goals.
  • Support and implement company-wide initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, HACCP, Quality Systems, and Employee Safety Programs.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in food production, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 1--3 years of supervisory experience in a food production or food service environment.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and standards (FDA, USDA, OSHA, HACCP, GMP, etc.).
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications.
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.
  • ServSafe certification a plus.
