Engineer Drafter
Leidos is seeking an Engineer Drafter to join the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) Team. This position will support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Anchorage Communications Engineering Center in Anchorage, AK.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Providing electronics drafting support to the FAA Anchorage Communications Engineering Center for Legacy Infrastructure Future Technologies (LIFT) program related projects.
- Providing Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) support for LIFT related projects using MicroStation, AutoCAD, and MasterSpec in conformance with FAA standards.
- Preparing new CADD drawings and facility documentation, and revising existing CADD drawings and facility documentation.
- Updating engineering drawings to incorporate "redline" comments, and reflect "as built" conditions.
- Assisting with archiving documentation of site surveys.
- Assisting in preserving existing drawings and documentation by scanning, digitization, and rasterization.
- Assisting in the electronic conversion of legacy drawings.
Please note: Must be able to work onsite, Anchorage, AK.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of prior relevant experience OR Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience OR Associates Degree in CAD AND/OR additional years of relevant experience may be considered and/or accepted in lieu of degree.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD).
- Experience in architectural design, detailing, and construction documents.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability.
Preferred qualifications:
- Familiarity with FAA and the National Airspace System (NAS).
The program budget salary for this role could fall anywhere between $80,000 to $100,000 with a slight wiggle room (no guarantees) based on relevant experience and assessment. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
