Starting pay : $38.06 - $56.30 Hourly

Job Information

Open to the general public and any current Municipal employee. This is a non-represented position (no union affiliation) and is subject to the provisions of the Personnel Rules of the Municipality of Anchorage.

Department : Information Technology

Hours of Work : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm

Location

City Hall - 632 W 6th Ave, 4th Floor

Starting pay note : Starting pay does not exceed the midpoint of the displayed pay range.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of the Chief Information Security Officer, implements and / or maintains security functional systems, programs, and services.
• Mentor Municipal Information Technology employees in network / security best practices.
• Diagnose network and security problems and perform other required duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education Required : High School / GED
• Experience : Eight (8) years of experience in the field related to the position; or
• Associate's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related discipline, and six (6) years of experience;
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline, and four (4) years of experience;
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline, and two (2) years of experience.
• Must Obtain : Satisfactory background check (criminal, education, and employment history) at time of hire.
• Satisfactory Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) background check within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred : Valid State of Alaska Driver's License.
