We're hiring a Statewide New Services Coordinator based in Anchorage, Alaska, to support individuals with disabilities and their families as they begin services with our organization.

Hope Community Resources, Inc. is a non-profit disabilities service provider based in Anchorage, Alaska. Founded in 1968, our company provides services and supports to people of all ages and abilities who experience an intellectual, developmental, or other disability, traumatic brain injury, or mental health challenge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the statewide onboarding process for individuals starting or transferring services, including waivers and discharges.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all inquiries related to services.
  • Lead person-centered planning meetings with individuals, their families, and support teams in building strong, respectful relationships.
  • Support access to services by leading team-based review meetings and ensuring they reflect the needs and choices of individuals and families.
  • Develop and maintain clear, consistent procedures for delivering new services across all regions.
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and on time to secure services and identify support needs.
  • Build relationships with community partners and share information about available services.
The regular schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional weekend shifts (about 3 - 4 weekends per year) to support special needs or events.

Requirements

  1. Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Health Science, Social Science, Education, Business or closely related human services field required.
    • Four years of experience working with families, state services or service providers required, involving responsibility for planning, development, management, or operation of programs and service delivery, needs assessment, program evaluation, or similar tasks; or
    • Equivalent combination of related education and/or relevant work experience.
  2. Additional Requirements
    • Valid Alaska driver's license and driving record in good standing.
    • Must meet state and agency background check requirements.
    • Ability to lift up to 35lbs and work at a desk/computer for extended periods.
    • Completion of required trainings and clearances (e.g., TB test).
