Under the direct supervision of the Parks and Recreation Director, this position manages the Administrative Division and oversees the departments financial and business operations. Develop, monitors, and implements department operating and capital budgets, conducting strategic planning, and implementing year-round services. The role involves developing and implementing department program policies and procedures to ensure efficient division operations, as well as supervising staff through scheduling, work assignments, hiring, training, evaluation, and disciplinary actions. Assists with the development of department staffing levels. It ensures compliance with labor contracts, the Municipality of Anchorages Personnel Rules and Regulations, and federal and state OSHA requirements. Additionally, this position assists the Director in the planning, development, and execution of departmental services and performs other duties as assigned.
