JOB DESCRIPTION


Position Requirements and Preferred Skills/Experience



  • 5-10 years of experience in Hydraulic Fracturing or related field

  • High School diploma, GED equivalent or higher education

  • Valid Drivers license

  • Field to field travel requires a minimum of 40% of day spent traveling

  • Experience driving in rugged terrain and challenging weather conditions preferred

  • Background in heavy equipment operation, heavy load transportation, or crane certification preferred

  • Previous experience in Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and inventory software or Wellview software is preferred

  • Ability to manage large groups of people & multiple operations simultaneously

  • Ability to work in & present to small strategic groups preferred

  • Limited background in stimulation additives, petrochemistry, or production chemistry preferred

  • Introduction or understanding of current Alaska permitting & land restrictions

  • Familiarity with or interaction with current state environmental & emissions oversight such as AOGCC, BLM, or ADEC preferred

  • Previous Slope logistics experience is preferred along with previous conventional fracturing background

  • Ability to work 3 on/3 off rotation in dormitory-type environment


Roles and Responsibilities



  • Ensures the safe and efficient operation of the work area.

  • Ensure all company, state, and federal regulations are followed.

  • Works closely with the Completion Superintendent to direct the activities of the Operators, Maintenance Personnel, Technical and Third-Party vendors.

  • Works with engineers and Optimization Specialists to optimize area volumes, expenses and long-term value.

  • Works with third party vendors to ensure optimal performance and maintain COP requirements

  • Makes recommendations for improvement in Planning, Operations and Maintenance processes.

  • Works with Lead Operator to organize and fulfill SIMOPs demands

  • Assist the training and development of field personnel by providing mentorship, technical knowledge and guidance.

  • Provides input for employee assessments and reviews, provides a strong field presence and mentorship

  • Manages daily activities of business, technical support or production team.

  • Able to resolve standard/non-standard problems.

  • Responsible for management of a functional area or a small to medium operation.

  • Solves difficult problems. Decisions are guided by policies/procedures/business plans.

  • Performs relief duties for the Completions Superintendent.

  • Provides input to development of technical/functional strategies and ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives.

  • Coordinate with Third Party vendors for materials/labor needs to slope

  • Work with COP warehouse/drilling material planners to locate and expedite materials/supplies/equipment for each fracturing treatment

  • Assess pad layouts as needed for planning fracturing operations

  • Work with frac company & labor provider on equipment & SIMOPs needs

  • Coordinate frac material input (water & proppant) needs based on completion design requirements and Operations deliverability

  • Providing Slope travel, badge access, & billeting to Third Party Vendors

  • Organize support equipment such as light plants, heaters, & generators through internal resources or rental companies

  • Directing vendor assignments & rigups onsite such as frac valves, frac tracer pumping, ball/dart droppers, & fuel trucks

  • Manage loading/unloading, maintenance & other ancillary operations in multiple fields occurring at multiple pad sites

  • Planning & managing material reloading & fuel replenishment

  • Working with Wells Hardline support to provide tanks, IA/OA tie-ins, & hardline connections

  • Interacting with & understanding necessary environmental, emissions, & land permitting requirements

  • Coordinating frac water volumes & rates with Operations

  • In the seawater case, assembling loading stations & trucking to frac pad

  • In the produced water case, monitoring & communicating PW rates & potential stoppages

  • Selecting appropriate equipment for the situation or finding suitable replacement due to unavailable or downed equipment

  • Planning & managing SIMOPs with the drilling rig, coiled tubing & other services in real-time

  • Selecting appropriate handling & storage of proppant along with preloading activities & volume tracking through treatment

  • Scheduling ahead & managing emergency plans in the event of changing weather patterns or significant weather events

  • Proppant Inventory & Quality Control; Responsible for tracking quantities of multiple types/sieves of proppant through multiple fields & staging pads

  • Front line cost tracking & field ticket input via OpenInvoice & Wellview

  • Logging equipment, volume data, cost estimates, event tracking data & treatment data into Wellview

  • Coordinating & supporting special frac-related projects & new technology (ie. PW Skid, Proppant Silos, Tankage, High-Pressure & Low-Pressure Hose solutions)
