The University of Alaska Anchorage's (UAA) Student Union is seeking applications for a Seawolf Grounds Manager. Experience the rewards of working in higher education and growing your professional skills while having the flexibility to pursue your academic goals.
This position is located in the UAA Department of Student Affairs in the Student Engagement Division. This role includes overseeing point-of-sale and inventory systems, processing vendor orders and payments, training and scheduling barista staff, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Flexibility to support various tasks and maintain a welcoming café environment is essential.
This is a 9-month, hourly position. New hires will be placed on the UA staff temporary salary schedule (Grade 76). Average work hours are typically 20-30 hours per week. Candidates must be flexible to work both during and after coffee shop hours (Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm).
