What You Will Be Doing
As a Community Care Licensing Specialist 1, you will oversee and supervise Alaska's licensed Assisted Living Homes, collaborating with a team of specialists to ensure compliance for adults aged 18 and older with various needs. Responsibilities include conducting licensing inspections, processing new home applications, and investigating to protect the health and safety of vulnerable adults. You will also manage modification and variance applications and provide technical assistance to help create a supportive environment. Your role is vital in ensuring that licensed homes meet regulatory standards and foster the well-being of residents.

The Community Care Licensing Specialist 1 position is located in midtown Anchorage at the Residential Licensing Program main office, 4601 Business Park Blvd. You will work with other well-trained staff who support the agency's mission and values in an environment of mutual respect and trust. This position reports to the Community Care Licensing Specialist 2.

Equivalent education and/or experience may include training or education in social services, health care, or related fields, and progressively responsible technical or professional experience.
