First National Bank Alaska is recruiting a Department Associate to support our Treasury Management team. This detail-oriented, non-customer-facing position plays an important role in ensuring smooth operations behind the scenes. Responsibilities may include:
Salary: $22.75/hour annual minimum. Job/salary offer would be commensurate with experience.
Schedule: Monday-Friday
GENERAL PURPOSE SUMMARY
Provides advanced clerical and administrative support within the bank, directly assisting at least one manager/supervisor by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities:

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum: Associate degree in a business-related field and two years related administrative experience, or three years advanced-level clerical, administrative, or related banking experience; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
Preferred: Additional business-related coursework. Financial industry experience. Familiarity with area of bank position is located.
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to keyboard 45 wpm and operate a 10-key calculator; word-processing, scheduling, spreadsheet, presentation software, and database experience required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING SKILLS:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract variables.
