PROGRAM MANAGER

The Program Manager for the Alaska Energy Authority's Rural Programs manages the agency's renewable energy and energy efficiency (REEE) programs and projects under the general guidance of the Department Director. Responsibilities include supporting and guiding internal staff and external stakeholders on energy technology, providing technical assistance in developing grant applications for funding opportunities, and managing the planning, design, and construction of energy projects throughout Alaska.

This role requires complex and diverse program management skills, in-depth knowledge of agency programs, and a good working relationship with upper management. The position exercises independent judgment on significant matters related to AEA's REEE programs.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and advanced training in engineering or a related field, along with 5 years of experience in project/program management and construction. Preference will be given to candidates with a professional engineering license in Alaska and current certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP).

This Position is Exempt and Not in the Classified Services: Exempt employees are excluded from Title 39, Chapter 25, State Personnel Act, and related personnel rules.
