The Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mining, Land & Water, is recruiting for an Engineering Associate in Anchorage, Alaska. What You Will Be Doing: This position supports the Geodetic Surveyor in managing and maintaining the Alaska Continuously Operating Reference System (ACORN), a Real Time Reference Network using Global Navigation Satellite System (CORS/ RTRN GNSS). The role involves building and maintaining CORS stations, configuring and maintaining the Real Time Network (RTN) infrastructure, and coordinating with other state, federal, and Canadian RTN administrators. The position performs advanced engineering tasks to address and resolve complex technical issues, provides hardware and software training to network users, and develops and maintains professional relationships and outreach with onsite contacts, RTN IT staff, and various stakeholders.
