Work Arrangement:

This is a union position serving our Terminals in Western Alaska. The wage is Union Scale.

  • Point of Hire is Alaska. Employees that reside in Alaska are responsible for all costs associated for getting to the nearest Alaskan hub city (Anchorage, Fairbanks, Bethel, Nome, Kotzebue, or Kenai). Employees that do not reside in Alaska are responsible for all costs associated for getting to Anchorage, Alaska.
  • Wages will be paid for actual time spent traveling between the work assignment location and the originating Alaska hub city
  • The work schedule is flexible, dependent upon operational requirements and is to be mutually agreed upon between the company and the employee
  • The work week will commence on the first day of a scheduled work assignment
  • A minimum of 10 hours per day for all days worked
  • Overtime pay will be paid for any hours worked over 8 hours in any one given day or straight time 40 hours in any given week
  • Rotation 2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off OR 3 weeks on/ 3 weeks off

What You'll Do:

You will join the ranks of our professional drivers who daily meet the unique challenges of selling and safely distributing fuels throughout the great state of Alaska.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs daily vehicle inspections, completes Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR), submits DVIR to Fleet Maintenance Department accordingly.
  • Prior to conducting transfer operations, performs inspections of facilities as appropriate
  • Performs Fuels Quality testing in accordance with the Terminal Operations Manual
  • Assists with maintenance and housekeeping of the equipment and facility as necessary
  • Performs inventory control of bulk fuels tanks and tank trucks as appropriate.
  • Delivers and receives fuel to and from company tanks, customers tanks, barges, and aircraft as required.
  • Performs all customer service-related activities, including but not limited to, fuel attendant duties, reconciling pump meter readings, sales slips, and credit charge charges etc.
  • Acts as first responder to any Company oil spill incident
  • Follows all safety rules as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education and Credentials:

  • Must possess a B/CDL with Hazmat Endorsements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid State of Alaska driver's license
  • Must be able to wear a half face respirator
  • Must be able to climb stairs 50ft. high
  • Requires work outside in all types of weather
  • 24 Hour HAZWOPPER Certification training preferred
  • Must be willing to travel

Experience:

Minimum one-year experience driving straight trucks
