The Security Sergeant provides oversight and first line supervision to the assigned security workforce at the Chugach Electric southcentral power generation facility located near Minnesota Parkway and International Airport Road in Anchorage. Responsibilities include but are not limited to ensuring proper delivery of security services; issuing post assignments; performing administrative duties (scheduling, timekeeping, incident reporting, documentation); training personnel; assisting with personnel evaluations and recommending discipline and commendations. The Security Sergeant is a working supervisor who is one of the primary security officers on duty but also directs or oversees through his/her subordinates all responses to emergency and non-emergency situations occurring at the job site. The schedule for this position is a 2 x 2 week rotation, working a 12-hour shift (8 hours straight, 4 hours overtime).
