Job Details

This position is primarily responsible for recruiting, administrating and coordinating Hospice volunteers. Additional Community Relations and general Agency supportive responsibilities may be assigned. Work is evaluated by the Director of Hospice through written reports, documentation and direct observation. Work is normally performed in an office setting with occasional home visits. Position Specific Responsibilities - Recruitment for new volunteers to include the development of an action plan to begin three months prior to training, as well as on-going recruiting throughout the year. - Develops and implements new volunteer training 3 times each year, based on needs of each county. - Provides at least 4 on-going continuing education programs during the year for all Hospice volunteers. - Facilitates communication between the volunteer, nurse case manager, patient and caregiver regarding volunteer placement within 72 hours of volunteer request. - Supervises on-going activities of assign...Volunteer, Coordinator, Healthcare, Hospice, Skills, Diversity, Administrative
