About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Financial Executive to become an integral part of our senior leadership team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for both the strategic and operational financial management of our organization, ensuring sustainable growth in fisheries, quota management, vessel operations, and seafood markets. As the financial leader, you will oversee all aspects of financial activities including investment strategies, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and comprehensive financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred. Holding a CPA, CFA, or MBA will be an added advantage. We require a minimum of ten years of senior finance experience, ideally in sectors such as fishing, seafood, maritime, native corporations, or CDQ groups. A strong grasp of finance, banking, accounting, and business processes is crucial, as is proficiency in financial systems and software.
Your responsibilities will include leading the annual budgeting process, developing long-term financial forecasts, and providing insightful financial analysis for major investments and acquisitions. Familiarity with vessel operations, quota systems, or seafood processing economics is highly desirable.
We seek a candidate with exceptional communication skills, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively with strong organizational skills. Less than 10% travel is expected in this role.
