Overview
HPM is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team based in Anchorage, AK. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for providing project team leadership and has overall and bottom-line responsibility for the success of the project. Additionally, the Sr PM is actively involved in prospective project lead generation, proposal preparation and presentation, and relationship maintenance. Must be capable of leading a $50+M project.

Employment Details
- Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: $165,000-185,000 annually plus cell phone allowance, vehicle allowance

Minimum Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related degree; or comparable work experience.
- 15+ years of experience in commercial, civil, and/or federal construction industry.
- OSHA 30 Certification
- USACE CQM Certification strongly preferred
Duties & Responsibilities
- Leads and drives the safety culture across multiple projects — leads by example; proactively places a high priority on safety at all times; ensures regularly scheduled jobsite safety audits are conducted on each project and safety is a priority during each site visit; sets expectations with project leadership and holds them accountable for safe behavior and maintaining a safe jobsite.
- Quality: ensures that defect prevention, quality control, and quality assurance plans and procedures are in place; audits field operations for compliance; ensures root cause analyses are completed for quality incidents and shares lessons learned with project teams.
- Compliance: verifies project teams are in full compliance with all contracts and subcontracts; ensures permits are obtained as necessary to facilitate the project schedule; verifies adherence to all company policies.
- Scheduling: meets with project teams regularly to review schedule progress, identify and address issues and risks to avoid schedule impacts; maintains and communicates the project schedule per company commitments; manages resource allocation to staff projects.
- Project Administration: maintains strong client and design professional relationships; ensures timely completion of RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement log, and related tasks; remains responsible through the warranty period.
- Cost Control: reviews project estimates with the preconstruction team on award; ensures project setup; monitors and manages costs and budgets; responsible for month-end reporting; identifies cost risks and mitigation plans.
- Procurement/Tracking: ensures subcontracts are executed to support the schedule; identifies long-lead materials and incorporates them into the schedule; tracks procurement metrics.
- Field Execution: ensures projects are built per plan, specs, and schedule; conducts regular site visits and engages with field personnel; ensures proper resources are available.
- Contract Administration: reads and is familiar with construction and contract documents and changes; negotiates larger issues with the owner when necessary; ensures changes are tracked and costs are managed; prepares complex subcontracts for execution.
- People Development: provides direct management and evaluation, training, and career development for direct reports; provides senior leadership to project teams; ensures mentorship and training align with company succession planning.
