About Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC)

SEARHC is a non-profit tribal health consortium of 18 Native communities serving the health interests of the Tlingit, Haida, Tsimshian people, other Alaska Native people, and residents of Southeast Alaska. It is one of the oldest and largest Native-run health organizations in the United States. SEARHC employs approximately 1,000 employees across 18 facilities, including Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center in Sitka, Alaska.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Lead, mentor, engage and develop teams to maximize contributions, including recruiting, training, coaching and managing performance; ensure food services connect to the Executional Framework; coach employees with a shared understanding of goals and execution; reward and recognize employees; ensure safety and sanitation standards in all operations.
  • Client Relationship: Identify client needs and communicate operational progress.
  • Financial Performance: Adopt Aramark process and systems; build revenue and manage budgets including cost controls for food, beverage and labor; ensure completion and maintenance of P&L statements; achieve food and labor targets; manage resources for quality and cost control within budget.
  • Productivity: Implement and maintain Aramark agenda for labor and food initiatives; create value through efficient operations and appropriate cost controls and profit management; comply with Operational Excellence fundamentals; direct and oversee production, distribution and food service operations.
  • Compliance: Maintain a safe and healthy environment; comply with policies and regulations including safety, health, wage and hour rules.
  • Key Responsibilities: Establish and maintain systems for ordering, receiving, storing, preparing and serving food; menu planning and development; develop forecasts and explain variances; supervise production, merchandising, quality and cost control; recruit, hire, develop and retain front-line staff; conduct period inventory; maintain records to comply with ARAMARK, government and accrediting standards; interact with Client Management and maintain client relations; participate in sales process and contract negotiations; seek opportunities to implement new products and services to support growth and client retention.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Manage front-of-house dining operations (Cafeteria/Residential Dining Facility); develop and implement food service plans aligned with client mission and vision, including sustainable practices.

Qualifications

  • At least four years of food service healthcare experience.
  • One to three years in a management role.
  • Previous experience in food service.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Certified Dietary Manager Certification required.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service using Aramark's standard model.
  • Ability to work effectively with other departments to deliver a unified food service experience.
