Job Details

Reporting to the APD Communications Director, assist in the development of effective public outreach and communications on behalf of the Anchorage Police Department. The Deputy Communications Director will work collaboratively with the Public Information Unit and the department to develop and implement communication strategies to broaden community relations and public outreach. Perform other duties as required. Supplemental Information: Reporting to the APD Director of Community Relations. The Deputy Director of Community Relations, as a member of the Community Relations Unit, will work collaboratively with the department to develop, implement, and manage communication and outreach strategies/programs that enhance and maintain the positive relationship between the Anchorage Police Department and the community.
