Sr. Principal Enterprise Architect - Application Platform - Remote

Responsibilities

The Enterprise Application Platform Architect will be responsible for:

• Developing an enterprise application common platform(s) strategy.
• Managing, communicating and marketing the application platform strategy.
• Informing business and IT leaders of opportunities and constraints.
• Aligning IT strategy with company's business goals.
• Direct involvement in the development of policies, standards and guidelines.
• Establishing metrics and model for measuring the total cost of ownership.
• Assisting in developing business cases for enterprise IT advancement.
• Developing program and project visions and roadmaps.
• Promoting the use and adoption of industry best practices.
• Leading research and development efforts.
• Guiding the implementation of new common application platforms.
• Facilitating communications between IT workgroups and business stakeholders.
• Providing input on projects and road maps.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

The candidate must have:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience.
• 10 years of related work experience in Business Analysis, System Design and Development, Systems Engineering, or technical architecture.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship.

Additional Qualifications

In-depth knowledge of common application development and runtime platforms, modern integration architecture, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to communicate at multiple levels, strong self-management skills, ability to communicate via presentations, words and pictures, comfortable with resolving conflicting viewpoints and achieving consensus, collaborative workstyle, strong sense of personal accountability for results.

Preferred Qualifications

Cloud computing, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Containers, Kubernetes, IaaS, PaaS, APIs, Microservices, DevOps, Spring, C#, .NET, Java, JEE, FHIR, HL7, experience working with regulatory compliance requirements, previous experience in PBM / health care industry, previous experience working in an Agile/Product Delivery model, strong experience with software development life cycle and project management principles, in-depth knowledge of two or more architectural domains, formal Enterprise Architecture training and certification, experience modeling Enterprise Architectures with industry standard modeling notation.

Physical Demands

Ability to travel up to 5% of the time, constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear, frequently required to reach with hands and arms, occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch, occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
