Remote Noc Automation Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a remote NOC Automation Engineer to support our client's network operations. This role is key to shifting operations from reactive to proactive by leading automation and monitoring improvements across BTS, NOC, and TAC environments. The engineer will leverage tools like Assure1 to enhance visibility, reduce incident response times, and streamline remediation. Responsibilities include evaluating current workflows, customizing monitoring tools, automating repetitive tasks, and implementing alerting systems to reduce Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR). The role also involves developing performance metrics, reporting to leadership, and collaborating with engineering, application technology, and vendor teams to align solutions with business goals. Skills and Requirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field 5+ years of Network Operations Control experience in the telecommunications industry 5+ years of Automation Engineering experience Proficient with monitoring platforms like Assure1, Nagios, Splunk, or SolarWinds. Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Strong understanding of networking protocols and management (TCP/IP, SNMP). Experience with incident management frameworks like ITIL. Experience with legacy systems for IP, Microwave, and Satellite. For example familiarity with cisco, juniper, nokia, and brocade for IP.
