The Patient Advocate plays a lead role in upholding and monitoring patient rights within North Star Behavioral Healthcare System programs to ensure every patient receives the care, information, and support they need. This position is responsible for ensuring patients are fully informed of their rights and assisting in the resolution of conflicts, concerns, or complaints in a fair and timely manner. In addition to direct advocacy, the Patient Advocate will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs for North Star Behavioral Health Systems employees to promote awareness of patient rights and effective advocacy practices. The position also coordinates employee membership and participation in relevant advocacy networks or professional organizations.
