This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
Serve as SM-1A Reactor Decommissioning on-site Deputy Project Manager for the North Atlantic Baltimore (NAB) District Environmental and Munitions Design Center (EMDC).
Address and/or solve complex and/or unusual project issues and/or concerns related to, but not limited to, scheduling, negotiation, coordination, standard guides, precedents, methods, and techniques.
Advise on technical problems where standard methods and/or techniques, and/or applies them, as required, by conducting special studies.
Lead meetings with Contractors, Customers, and/or stakeholders to ensure a full understanding of all technical aspects of the project to assure that the proposed course(s) of action are effective and efficient.
Requirements
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
The duties of this position require travel up to approximately 25% of the time.
The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
Moderate lifting and carrying weights, extended standing, sitting, and bending may be required.
Upon supervisory notification, the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain security clearance up to TS/SCI Polygraph or lower depending on the security clearance requirement of the supported program and/or project.
