Under general supervision of the Operations Manager, the Lead Cook enhances client recovery by providing well-balanced and attractive meal service for a 42-bed residential facility consisting of clients, guests, and staff by addressing special dietary needs. Education and Work Experience: High school diploma or equivalency. Three years' experience as a cook, one of which must have been in an institutional setting. We will sponsor and pay for obtaining a Food Handlers Card and Serv-Safe certification (obtain within 30 days). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Understanding of trauma-informed care. Alaska driver's license with acceptable criminal history and driving records. Ability to maintain a collaborative and cooperative work environment and to work with a minimum of supervision. Must be skilled in communication with individuals of varying ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
