Electronic Technician III (Part-Time)

Summary

Are you a skilled technician with a passion for security systems and hands-on problem-solving? Join our team as an Electronic Technician and play a vital role in maintaining and repairing advanced security equipment across critical facilities. This part-time position offers a flexible schedule and eligibility for company benefits. Requires 100% travel throughout the larger metro area and travel to neighboring states (up to 20%).

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on electronic security systems (ESS)
• Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues
• Interpret technical diagrams and schematics
• Replace or repair faulty components and wiring
• Configure computers, communication devices, and peripherals
• Provide technical support to fellow technicians during system restoration

Basic Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field or in lieu of the degree 12+ years of relevant experience
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with ESS, including:
• Video surveillance systems
• Access control systems
• Intercoms
• Intrusion detection systems
• Security gates
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and proper PPE usage
• Must be able to pass a moderate suitability (customer) background check
• Ability to travel frequently within the metro area and occasionally to neighboring states

Experience with any of the following systems is highly desirable:

• Johnson Controls P2000
• Lenel OnGuard
• Pelco
• Genetec
• Milestone

Compensation

This is a Service Contract Act (SCA) position. Compensation varies by location:

• Jacksonville, FL - $29.83
• Honolulu, HI - $38.00/hr
• Dallas, TX - $29.65/hr
• Albuquerque, NM - $31.84/hr
• Los Angeles, CA - $32.44/hr
• San Diego, CA - $34.99/hr
• Anchorage, AK - $42.33/hr
• Salt Lake City, UT - $29.69/hr
• Boston, MA - $32.69/hr
• New York, NY - $33.09/hr
