Under the general direction of the Capital Program Manager. This position is responsible for supervising, work planning, prioritizing, assigning, reviewing, and technical direction of Project Management Section staff. Manages all design through construction phases of AWWU capital improvement projects including construction negotiations and making recommendations on disposition of claims. Strong background in civil design and construction management desired. Ability to function under limited supervision and able to manage multiple projects and tasks. Perform other required duties as assigned. Participate in major emergencies or disasters as outlined in AWWUs disaster plan matrix, which defines each employees potential duties and responsibilities. This may include 12-hour work shifts, which may continue for 72 hours or more starting at any time an event might occur, 7 days a week, 24 hours per day.
