A bachelor's degree in education, organizational management, human services, or a related field. Equivalent experience, education, and training may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and appropriate insurance.
Must obtain a first aid/CPR certificate within one month of employment.
Must obtain a Student Nutrition ServSafe certificate within one month of employment.
Four years of experience in one or more of the following human services fields is preferred: adult education, classroom teaching, community development, organizational management, recreation, public affairs, or community services.
Knowledge of organizational management practices.
Knowledge of record keeping and report writing.
Ability to work in a school setting and occasionally work evenings or weekends.
Effectively provides supervision of the 21st Century Community Learning Center Program on a daily basis, serving as the first point of contact for program leadership and needs.
Resolves student discipline problems, handles conflict, and makes effective decisions under pressure.
Maintains appropriate records of the overall program and submits on a scheduled basis or as required.
Ensures a safe, structured afterschool academic and enrichment schedule in accordance with grant goals and objectives.
Coordinates as needed with ASD departments providing services to various students such as Title 1, English Language Learner, and students with special needs.
In collaboration with school staff, ensures afterschool programming aligns with the school day curriculum.
Supports school staff in areas such as attendance, reading interventions, and student discipline, based on site needs, in coordination with the 21st CLCC manager and school principal.
Collaborates with 21st CLCC Department staff to support program objectives.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Completes and submits performance reports to the program manager.
Oversees provision of healthy snacks for students.
Monitors and tracks expenditures of grant and other funds.
Enters data for program evaluation, including attendance, activities, and registration.
Communicates with school staff, families, and principals regarding program needs and progress.
Recruits and registers students for the program.
Prepares instructor agreements, timesheets, and payroll for staff.
Establishes cooperative relationships with community organizations to enhance resources.
Participates in school and staff committees supporting grant goals.
Coordinates student transportation with relevant departments and families to ensure safe dismissal.
Attends staff meetings and professional development sessions.
Completes mandatory ASD training as required.
Recruits, supervises, schedules, monitors, and evaluates staff.
Procures supplies and resources for the program.
Interprets directions from supervisors effectively.
Communicates effectively with students, families, staff, and community members.
Physical / Mental Demands: Frequent standing, walking, sitting, speaking, and hearing; ability to lift items under 40 lbs; handle conflict; make decisions under pressure; manage stress working with diverse groups.
Work Environment: Professional setting with diverse individuals; exposure to outdoor weather; moderate noise level.
