Anchorage Parks And Recreation Seasonal Positions

Open to the general public and any current Municipal employee. These positions are represented by the Anchorage Municipal Employee Association (AMEA) and are subject to the provisions of the current agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and the AMEA.

Location: 315 Price Street

Hours: Hours vary; Monday through Sunday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.

These are seasonal, part-time positions working up to 30 hours per week and will end approximately six (6) months after date of hire.

To be considered for employment, applicants must be legally authorized to work and accept employment in the United States. The Municipality of Anchorage is not able to provide any type of sponsorship, including Student Visas and Employment Visas, under any circumstances.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Three (3) months experience leading, directing, supervising, coaching, or teaching children and/or adults at a recreation facility, a childcare facility, a childcare program, camps, educational institutions, therapeutic recreational programs, team, organized youth programs, or other similar programs.
• American Red Cross First Aid and American Red Cross Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification or equivalent within 30 days of hire.
