Summary

Under limited supervision, oversees the strategic and daily operational management of software and technology-related hardware within ANTHC. Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the necessary processes to manage hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycles from acquisition through disposal.

Responsibilities

Manages all activities related to the design, development and implementation of software and hardware technology asset management tools and processes.

Defines, develops, and implements IT asset lifecycle management methodologies, policies and procedures for the acquisition, deployment and disposal of IT hardware and software assets, ensuring ANTHC-wide adoption and operation of asset management best practices.

Identifies and executes IT hardware and software asset management strategies in coordination with HIT leadership, contracting, and others to provide standardization and reduce security and financial risks. Performs key IT role in procurement strategies to optimize technology spend across the organization. Applies a continuous improvement approach in enhancing the strategies employed in IT asset management.

Coordinates with other IT support teams to ensure hardware assets, their dependencies and attributes are properly documented and maintained in the configuration management database. Audits hardware assets against physical inventory, initiates reconciliation processes and tracks corrective actions.

Ensures IT hardware and software asset acquisition and disposal processes (including those of external service providers) are conducted in alignment with corporate environmental and technical policies, applicable standards and regulatory requirements.

Manages appropriate tools to record and track software license and software maintenance information to ensure compliance with vendor contracts and ANTHC needs. Analyzes and creates reports reflecting asset utilization. Performs verification and reconciliation of software asset licensing against staff utilization.

Communicates asset management strategies to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Partners as necessary with legal, contracts and HIT leadership to complete non-disclosure agreements, negotiate terms, conditions of sale, and warranties of software applications with key suppliers, vendors, and service providers.

Facilitates ANTHC's needs for ongoing technical support and upgrade protection on selected software products by ensuring that maintenance, support and upgrade protection renewals are managed/handled/ordered in advance of their expiration for assigned vendors.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within IT asset management.

Knowledge of customer service concepts and practices.

Knowledge of confidentiality rules, regulations, and HIPAA Privacy Act.

Knowledge of IT hardware and software asset lifecycle management.

Knowledge of licensing terms and conditions and product use rights.

Knowledge and experience in coaching staff in the daily administration of asset management activities.

Knowledge and experience in developing policies, procedures, and governing the management of IT asset life-cycle management

Knowledge and experience in the planning, acquisition, operation and disposal of IT assets.

Knowledge of Commercial off the shelf (COTs) enterprise asset management software.

Knowledge of Business Intelligence (Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI)

Knowledge of databases, software application installation, and hardware support

Skill in effective oral and written communication. Skill in customer relationship management.

Skill in providing work leadership, training and technical guidance to technicians.

Skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands with attention to detail.

Skill in effectively presenting information and responding to questions from peers and management.

Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with other employees.

Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of software applications.

MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

A Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Progressively responsible professional work-related experience, education, or training may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for college education.

Minimum Experience Qualification

Non-supervisory - Five (5) years' experience in a customer support environment in an information technology venue. An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or training may be substituted for experience.

Preferred Experience Qualification

IT Asset Management experience in an information technology venue preferred.
