WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:The Department of Public Safety (DPS), Division of Statewide Services is looking to recruit for a Microcomputer/ Network Specialist 1/2. This position provides system and network administration and support on the DPS Networking Team to support department IT Systems. It will work closely with the DPS Application and Support teams as well as the State of Alaska Office of Information Technology (OIT) to manage shared enterprise infrastructure. The Networking Team plays an integral role in DPS by providing tier 3 network and system support and collaboratively working with DPS and OIT IT teams, vendor partners, and stakeholders to execute projects for critical law enforcement enterprise applications.
