Develops, prepares, negotiates, and administers various grants, contracts, and agreements with multiple agencies and contractors. Oversees & monitors grantees & contractors for compliance with agreement provisions, funding intent, policies & procedures, and applicable laws & regulations. Reviews & approves payment requests submitted by grantees & contractors and prepares payment documents. Provides technical assistance to grantees & contractors, as well as to program managers, division managers, and staff within the Department. Researches & identifies potential grant funding sources to meet departmental priorities. Reviews, edits, and contributes to grant applications ensuring compliance with funder requirements. Manages the grant acquisition process and communicates information to relevant programs, divisions, departments, municipal staff, and the public to support the Grants & Contracts program. Performs other duties as necessary to support department goals.The Anchorage Health Department (AHD) engages in emergency responses in coordination with the State of Alaska Department of Health and Social Services and the federal Incident Command System (ICS). This includes participating in training exercises as part of the Crisis Health Action Team (CHAT) and municipal Emergency Operations Center (EOC). In case of a disaster, AHD employees may be called to participate in emergency operations and recovery efforts.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Finance, or a related field, and three (3) years of relevant experience.ORAssociate's degree in a related field, and five (5) years of relevant experience.ORHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent, and seven (7) years of relevant experience.Preference will be given to returning Seasonal Employees eligible for Recall as per AMEA 3.14.8, and to current AMEA employees.
