Based in Orlando, FL, Airlines operates passenger charter services as well as customized military and commercial air cargo worldwide. The airline specializes in over-sized, time-sensitive, and special handling requirements, utilizing 747-400 and A-330 aircraft to accomplish its missions.

Job Title: Line Maintenance Manager

Location: Anchorage, AK

Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Director of Maintenance

FLSA Status: Exempt

Essential Functions:

  • Participate in the Company's Safety Management System (SMS) as required.
  • Complete Initial Level 2 SMS Training and maintain currency as outlined in the SMS Manual, Chapter 4.
  • Ensure personnel are trained and qualified to perform their duties.
  • Supervise and direct all maintenance functions for line aircraft.
  • Coordinate ground equipment needs and maintenance requirements with the Maintenance Planning Manager.
  • Supervise and review work of aircraft technicians and providers.
  • Locate, review qualifications, and contract with maintenance providers in the assigned region.
  • Recruit, hire, and develop technicians to maintain aircraft in the region.
  • Ensure availability of tooling, equipment, and publications necessary for tasks.
  • Monitor staffing and scheduling for adequate maintenance coverage and efficiency.
  • Review overtime and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Review maintenance paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and address safety concerns.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments or providers.
  • Review operational delays and implement improvements to minimize delays.
  • Serve as Chairperson and voting member of the ETOPS Review Board.
  • Monitor policies, regulations, and procedures related to ETOPS.
  • Develop and update ETOPS policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Coordinate with departments for ETOPS-related duties and maintenance.
  • Monitor revisions to CMP manual, Airworthiness Directives, and Service Letters for ETOPS modifications.
  • Coordinate with Aircraft Records to ensure ETOPS configuration compliance.
  • Collaborate with Quality to ensure maintenance meets ETOPS requirements.
  • Coordinate with Powerplant Manager on in-flight shutdown investigations.
  • Work with Review Board members and manufacturers to resolve system discrepancies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Experience, Abilities & Skills:

  • Valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with A&P ratings.
  • At least 3 years of experience returning aircraft to service.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience maintaining large aircraft for an air carrier.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations Parts 65, 91, 121.
  • Experience maintaining large airplanes with airline operations.
  • Completed all required initial and recurrent training.
  • Accountable for safety and compliance with laws and policies.
  • Ability to report hazards and suggest improvements.
