SCG is seeking a Digital Director to oversee digital ad strategy and placement for political campaigns and aligned projects, including local and state candidate campaigns, ballot initiatives and issue-based accountability programs. The key responsibility of this role is to build on the foundation of SCG's marketing department to develop a best in class digital program, driving voter engagement and action, online name recognition and fundraising for various candidates and initiatives.
The Digital Director will be a member of the leadership team, supporting the development of systems and templates for digital planning and placement. This will likely involve hiring, training and organizing an additional team member or members to help cover the workload and build new expertise and capabilities. The Digital Director will also work with SCG's leadership to scope and evaluate new growth vectors, including but not limited to expansion in other rural, red-leaning states; expansion into corporate and nonprofit organizations in Alaska, and/or vertical integration across Alaska's political landscape. Finally, the Digital Director will lead efforts to better understand Alaska's advertising and social media ecosystems and design innovative ways of reaching voters across new and existing channels.
The Digital Director will manage budgets and ad distribution, track performance, provide regular client reports, and work with the Creative team to assist with content strategy. They will also work closely with the Data Team to develop audiences and targets, and with the Project Management and Fundraising teams to ensure coordination with the campaign plan, fundraising plan, and with other paid communications, in line with the campaign or client's overarching messages.
