Each day will involve a multitude of tasks such as planting, trimming, weeding, mowing, mulching, and operating various landscaping equipment. Landscapers work in all settings to create visually appealing and functional spaces that meet the goals and needs of the regional team. A successful Landscaper is able to manage their time effectively, is detail oriented, a trustworthy team player, and takes pride in their work. In addition, this position needs to be accountable and attentive to provide excellent customer service skills when interacting with residents, associates and vendors.Primary Responsibilities:Mow, edge, fertilize and re-seed lawns; water plants manually as directedMaintain and prune shrubbery and trees for a pristine appearance and healthy growth; use a weed eater as neededMaintain flowerbeds, including the installation, removal, and pruning of plantingsManage irrigation watering schedule; make necessary repairs of line and sprinkler headsRake and remove leaves; blow debris from sidewalk and parking areasAssist with laying mulch, compost, and/or fertilizers to nourish plants and maintain soil healthPlow and remove snow as requiredMonitor supplies and maintain all equipmentMaintain accurate recordsEnsure maintenance shop/custodial area is clean, organized, and professionally presentable at all timesFollow all company key logging and storing proceduresRegular and effective communication with Landscape Manager and other teammatesPromote safety and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to minimize exposure to hazards that cause workplace injury and illnessInspect, respond to, and follow up with safety issues, accidents, liabilities and emergency situations immediatelyQualificationsQualifications:Experience in landscape maintenance, landscape construction and irrigationExperience and ability to safely operate landscape machinery including but not limited to: riding lawn mower, edger, chainsaw, power hedge trimmer and blowerKnowledge of trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals; skilled in pruning styles and techniquesMechanical aptitude requiredAble to lift and carry up to 80 pounds/36.3 kg, climb ladders and climb multiple flights of stairs at a timeAble to use appliance dolly, push/pull up to 200 pounds/90.7 kgAble to work outdoors in all weather conditionsAble to be on feet constantly for entire work shift, if applicableComplete tasks in a safe and efficient mannerAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with strong motivation to learn & contribute on a daily basisAble to give professional directions clearly in person, over the phone, email, and textExperienced in Microsoft products preferred (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)Yardi and Paycom experience preferred; Willing and able to learn new software programsFollow Weidner's Mission, Vision and Values and comply with all Weidner policies and procedures as well as all Fair Housing, local, state/province, and federal lawsPrompt, regular attendance; wear company dress code / uniform & maintain professional appearance at all timesWork effectively and cooperatively in a team environment and/or independentlyAbility to work outside of normal scheduled hours as neededWilling and able to be assigned to other Weidner properties as neededWorking knowledge of English; detail oriented, well organizedMust agree to a criminal background check and sign an agreement for voluntary drug testingMust have access to personal vehicle and/or reliable transportation, at all timesDriver's license, vehicle and vehicle insurance must be valid and unexpired at all times and match the country in which associate will work
