Job Description:

ChristusHealthcare is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Specialist to join our remote finance team. The ideal candidate will support daily accounting operations, ensure accuracy in financial records, and help maintain compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain and update financial records and ensure their accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, statements, and documentation.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, procurement, and billing departments.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial documents and reports.

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in the healthcare industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
