Job Details

Under limited supervision, the Engineering Technician III position performs duties at a skilled engineering level. Responsible for administering Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility's (AWWU's) water and wastewater special assessment programs and maintaining assessment file. Researches and calculates water and wastewater assessments. Prepares necessary documents and documentation in order to levy water and wastewater special assessments. Provides the public with information on water and wastewater expansion programs. Adds and maintains information to applicable AWWU databases. Reviews and comments on water and wastewater designs for conformance with standard construction specifications, design criteria, and AWWU's tariffs. Performs a variety of other tasks specific to general operations within the Planning Section requiring good customer service, and administrative, research, and organizational skills.
