This position is in the General Government Unit (GGU) at a Range 12. What You Will Be Doing:This position assists investigators by performing a variety of duties to ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws. The incumbent researches and applies knowledge of labor laws to audit on-line and hard copy payroll submissions for compliance, processes contractor notices and payments, prepares case files, and conducts preliminary follow up enforcement actions as necessary. There is a great deal of interaction with the public as you explain wage and hour laws on the phone and in person and conduct monthly educational seminars.
