Senior Network Engineer

What You'll Do:

As a key member of our Engineering & Operations team, you'll:

• Own day-to-day operations of Quintillion's telecom network-fiber, DWDM transport, Ethernet, IP/MPLS, and OSS/VM systems.
• Lead and implement network performance initiatives, provisioning standards, and system upgrades.
• Maintain and troubleshoot both Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) infrastructure.
• Administer and secure our Network Management Systems (NMS) and OSS environments.
• Collaborate with managed service providers, oversee project-based deployments, and resolve complex network issues.
• Travel to remote sites across Alaska to perform on-site infrastructure work.
• Monitor and manage system and network security, including and access control, patching, and vulnerability detection.

What We're Looking For:

• Expertise - 5+ years of telecom network operations experience with 3+ years in engineering, NMS administration, or network security.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Sales engineering experience - 3+ years in technical sales, solutions engineering, or network design, preferably in wholesale broadband.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access control systems.
• Problem-solving mindset - Familiarity with Unix/Linux, VMware, and enterprise-level system administration.
• Exceptional communication skills - a team-first attitude.

Bonus points if you have:

Certifications such as Network+ or Security+ a plus.
