Join to apply for the Construction & Implementation Technician III role at GCI Communication Corp.1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the Construction & Implementation Technician III role at GCI Communication Corp.Job Description$2,500 Hiring Bonus!This position may be assigned to support Technology Solutions and network repairs in various areas including outside plant, construction, business, and network facilities.Responsibilities include:Supporting the development, construction, and deployment of network infrastructure and architecture, including outside/inside plant applications.Maintaining system-wide oversight and network integrity across Alaska and occasionally in the lower 48, involving work at customer residences, businesses, field sites, and central offices.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Design, construct, and implement network facilities and delivery architecture following industry standards.Install, modify, test, and turn-up video, voice, and data circuits and equipment across various transmission media.Support and install equipment racks, cabinets, and cabling infrastructure.Interpret system maps, engineering drawings, and work orders accurately.Coordinate with contractors and oversee resources.Communicate effectively with team members and customers using various communication tools.Required Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent.At least 8 years of telecommunications experience, including 3 years of complex network work.NCTI System Technician certification or enrolled within 90 days.Preferred Qualifications:Associate's degree in electronics or related field.Prior tower climber certification and telecommunications experience.Additional Requirements:Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles.Willingness to travel statewide, work in various weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.Equal Opportunity Statement: GCI is an equal opportunity employer, considering qualified applicants without regard to race, gender, or other protected categories.#J-18808-Ljbffr
