Job Overview

The Municipality of Anchorage is seeking a Planning and Communications Manager to oversee urban planning and communication strategies. This full-time position requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, with relevant professional urban planning experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent + 9 years of urban planning experience including 1 year in a supervisory role;
• OR Associates degree in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Landscape Architecture, or related field + 7 years of urban planning experience including 1 year in a supervisory role;
• OR Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Landscape Architecture, or related field + 5 years of urban planning experience including 1 year in a supervisory role.

All applicants must possess or obtain a valid State of Alaska Driver's License at the time of hire and pass a satisfactory background check, including criminal, education, and employment history.
