Description:

BluePearl Pet Hospital is currently looking to add a Senior HR Business Partner to join our team. This position will be supporting our Central Region.

The People & Organization (P&O) Business Partner serves as a strategic partner to designated management teams, focusing on enhancing the Associate experience, retention, development, and communication. This role contributes expert people knowledge to shape and implement business strategies, support change initiatives, and foster a culture aligned with our Five Principles. Key responsibilities include driving organizational development, attracting and retaining top talent, managing performance and succession planning, supporting learning and development, and promoting associate engagement, well-being, and capability.

As a Divisional HR Business Partner you will:

  • Educate on and communicate roles and responsibilities to create high engagement levels and influence line managers and Associates to play their role effectively as "owners of engagement."
  • Guide, train and direct designated hospital teams on the execution of P&O policies and processes. Apply the basic theories of behavioral sciences as well as change management, teambuilding, effective communication, feedback, coaching, mentoring, leadership development and facilitation.
  • Support the execution of annual and on-going P&O processes such as talent and compensation reviews, performance development process, associate engagement survey, and others as necessary.
  • Partner and advise on divisional people initiatives in support of the talent pipeline, including workforce planning, attraction, development, engagement.
  • Partner with hospital and market leadership to create a performance culture (e.g. aligned business objectives, high quality development plans, regular and candid feedback, manager coaching, etc.).
  • Train managers to effectively understand and use our performance and team development philosophy, tools and systems. Advise line managers how to build quality development plans according to associate needs.
  • Proactively partner with Operations and Medical leadership to identify needs and/or risks within a hospital, ensuring P&O support is executed.
  • Partner with P&O functions to deliver the highest level of support to our associates.
  • Deploy content to assigned areas based on the Support Center and divisional needs.
  • Apply employment law for standard cases appropriately and determine when to seek legal advice.
  • Provide direct coaching and consultation to leaders to build and develop greater organizational capability.
  • Analyze and leverage P&O metrics to drive results.


Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field (or equivalent combination of experience and education) required.
  • Minimum six years of experience as an HR Generalist or related function with four years of business experience showing increasing responsibility.
  • Knowledge of Talent & Performance Management, Engagement, Team Effectiveness, Organizational Design & Development, Change Management, Facilitation Skills and Coaching.
  • HR training or certification preferred.
  • Background in healthcare-related fields preferred (veterinary or human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.).


Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and practices.
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships with hospital leadership.
  • Demonstrated high level of confidentiality.
  • Highly efficient with excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated communication, feedback, and coaching skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate, influence all levels of management, and cultivate trusting relationships with associates.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Strong multi-tasking ability.
