In the role of Alaska Power Market Sector Leader, we'll count on you to:

1. Have a focus on client management and development, serving as a client manager and project manager for future assignments and pursuits with key clients in the area
2. Identify and develop project opportunities, serve as a pursuit champion, and act as a resource for HDR pursuits
3. Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of large multi-disciplinary projects or medium-sized projects with a high degree of technical complexity
4. Assess the marketplace and determine the best business approach to win and secure contracts
5. Collaborate with other market sectors and business groups
6. Serve as the Client Manager for key clients within the region, and be active and visible in the industry
7. Promote the marketing and delivery of HDR services to clients alongside our client managers
8. Work with Business Group Managers on developing and delivering market sector initiatives
9. Drive client development and pursuit processes based on proven capture techniques
10. Support pursuits through relationship development and strategic planning
11. Participate in industry associations and serve as a role model in business and community organizations
12. Identify key investments to maintain or enhance HDR's industry leadership
13. Develop relationships with industry counterparts and senior client leaders
14. Enhance practices to improve market competitiveness and staff development
15. Lead recruitment efforts for future market sector employees
16. Coordinate work-sharing among departments and support technical excellence
17. Identify needs for new technical services and products
18. Coordinate staffing and recruiting plans for key hires
19. Support talent management and resource planning
20. Assist in project delivery, monitor profit and loss, and support QA/QC programs
21. Facilitate cooperation and remove barriers to success
22. Monitor performance indicators and implement process improvements
23. Manage staff workload and promote effective resource use
24. Assist with contract reviews and risk management
25. Promote quality assurance and technical expertise
26. Disseminate lessons learned and take on project management assignments as appropriate

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Alaska power projects

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, planning, or a related field
• At least 10 years of industry experience
• Experience in strategic marketing and client relationship management
• Experience in staff development and industry engagement
• Ability to collaborate with various leadership roles
• Commitment to HDR values and culture
