In addition to fostering and strengthening vital relationships with federal entities, international organizations, corporations, and the general public, the Assistant Director is dedicated to keeping a pulse on essential state and federal issues. By closely monitoring legislative actions and administrative decisions, this role empowers the state to respond proactively and strategically to emerging challenges. This position offers Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), the Supplemental Annuity Plan (SBS), health insurance, twelve paid holidays annually, and accrued paid leave.The working environment you can expect:This position is located on the third floor of the Hall of States Building in the heart of Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. Our daily working environment is fast-paced and teamwork oriented. At times this position will cover the front desk greeting constituents and answering calls, however that is not the primary focus of this role.
