Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and organized Assistant Operations Manager to support the day-to-day operations of The Alaska Club South/Summit. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring high standards of facility cleanliness and safety, managing member experience, and supporting the Operations Manager and General Manager in executing business goals. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and passionate about health and wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing daily operations, including front desk, maintenance, and class schedules
Support staff scheduling, training, and performance management
Monitor member satisfaction and respond to concerns or inquiries
Ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health regulations
Help implement marketing and member retention strategies
Oversee inventory and supplies for smooth facility functioning
Act as point-of-contact in absence of the Operations Manager
Assisting families in registration for swim lessons
Hiring and training swim instructors to meet Alaska Club standards
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a fitness, hospitality, or customer service role
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to multitask and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
LG/CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
