Responsibilities Deicing Specialists at Pegasus Aviation Services are responsible for operation of equipment for the removal of winter contaminants, such as Ice and Snow, from aircraft critical surfaces prior to a flight taking off. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of Rules, Regulations, Technics and Procedures in all areas of aircraft Deicing. A Deicing Specialist must be able to operate all the equipment in our fleet to include dual and single operator trucks. The deicing specialist will be required to maintain the serviceability of the deicing equipment, including supporting GSE and Quality departments by performing the Preseason, Mid-season, and End of Season deicing truck inspections, as well as deicing fluid tests required by the deicing program.
